Kitchen Questions
Whatever works best for you. Range is designed for easy, consumer friendly assembly, but many customers choose pro install for speed and convenience. Either way, our team can help with planning, layout, and technical questions.
Every Range appliance, including our grill, pizza oven, and refrigerator, has been designed in-house by Range specifically for our outdoor kitchen systems, ensuring they fit our kitchens perfectly in both form and function. We engineered every detail for seamless integration, consistent performance, and a refined appearance, partnering with world-class manufacturers who also produce for leading luxury appliance brands.
We intentionally removed gimmicks like decorative lighting, fragile electronics, and trend-driven finishes that don’t hold up outdoors; focusing instead on purposeful features and durable materials built to last year after year. And because we know exactly how our grills are designed and who makes them, we confidently stand behind every single component with a comprehensive 5-year warranty.
Unlike many products in the market that are repurposed from indoor lines or built with cosmetic features that don’t hold up outdoors, our appliances are engineered specifically for outdoor living. That means heavier-gauge stainless steel, weather-resistant components, purposeful features, and systems that have been real-world tested in extreme temps, humidity, and everyday use, not just on a showroom floor.
Where many competitors chase gimmicks or trend-driven finishes, we focus on the details that matter: consistent temperature control, durable hardware, thoughtful integration, and materials that withstand the elements. We partner with world-class manufacturers trusted by the best indoor and outdoor brands, and we stand behind every Range appliance with our comprehensive 5-year warranty because we know who designed it, who made it, and that they’re built right.
All of our cooking appliances are configured for liquid propane (LPG). However, every appliance can easily be converted to work with natural gas lines with an easy to install natural gas conversion kit that we will provide free of charge, if requested. We are happy to provide diagrams to help rough-in placement for your natural gas lines if you decide to go that route.
In most Range outdoor kitchen setups, additional ventilation is not required. Our grills are designed for open-air environments where natural airflow allows heat and smoke to dissipate comfortably, and our kitchen layouts are thoughtfully engineered to support safe, effective grilling without the need for mechanical ventilation.
That said, every outdoor space is unique. If your kitchen will be installed in a more enclosed area—such as under a low structure, near walls, or in a space with limited airflow—it may be beneficial to consult with a qualified professional to determine whether added ventilation is right for your setup. Our team is always happy to help you think through your space to ensure the best performance and experience.
There needs to be a minimum of 3” of clearance for the grill lid to open smoothly.
Our kitchens come with marble or quartz countertops depending on which product you are interested in. If you have questions about the countertops or if you are curious about maintenance requirements, give us a call.
Yes! Our refrigerators are truly outdoor-rated, which means they’re specifically built to perform in heat, humidity, and changing weather conditions that indoor fridges simply aren’t designed to handle. Outdoor-rated units use more robust insulation, weather-resistant materials, and cooling systems that can hold consistent temperatures even when outdoor conditions fluctuate.
As the team behind Range kitchens, we made this a priority from the start. We real-life tested our refrigerators in extreme outdoor environments for months to ensure they performed reliably season after season—because we only include appliances in our kitchens that we trust in our own spaces.
Simple answer: No, we don’t offer a glass front refrigerator, and that decision was intentional.
We spent months testing refrigeration in real outdoor conditions: high heat, humidity, and daily use to understand what truly holds up. What we learned is simple: glass fronts may look appealing in a showroom, but they don’t perform as reliably outdoors. At Range, we don’t sacrifice performance for aesthetics. Every appliance we include is chosen because it’s built to perform and function the way you expect, season after season.
Powered components require standard 120v outlets (sometimes referred to as 110v or 115v). If you plan to bring power to your product, we can help you with rough-in diagrams to help you decide where to run your electrical outlets.
Our kitchens include internal routing paths for power cords, with grommeted exit points designed to keep wiring clean and concealed. Final routing to your outlet or junction box depends on how power is supplied. We can help you plan this based on your setup.
At Range, we designed our delivery experience to match the level of care that goes into our kitchens. Through our Direct-to-You model, your outdoor kitchen ships fully protected and is handled through a full-service freight network that specializes in larger, high-value products.
Once your order is on its way, you’ll receive tracking updates and a call to schedule a delivery appointment that works for you. Every delivery includes a signature receipt to ensure everything arrives safely and securely. Our delivery teams will place your kitchen in a location close to the final assembly area, so you’re not left moving heavy cartons yourself.
From the moment your kitchen leaves our facility to the day it arrives at your home, our goal is to make the process feel clear, coordinated, and respectful of your time.
Structures Questions
Sometimes. This requirement can vary depending on municipality and sometimes your Homeowners Association. Make sure you check your local requirements before installation. If you need drawings or documentation to help this process go smoothly, give us a call.
Range pergolas and gazebos are designed and tested to be installed on a standard concrete slab. During development, each structure is engineered and evaluated on concrete that is approximately 4 inches thick, using 3-inch concrete anchors to ensure stability, strength, and long-term performance. A properly poured and level concrete surface provides the most reliable foundation and helps your structure maintain its intended alignment and durability over time.
Yes. At Range, every gazebo and pergola undergoes both independent third-party testing and internal real-world evaluations to ensure reliable performance in challenging weather conditions.
All roofed structures are tested to support up to 50 pounds per square foot, equivalent to about 30 inches of snow, which aligns with or exceeds typical residential building code standards in many regions. For wind performance, all Range structures, including open-roof pergolas, are engineered to withstand wind speeds of up to 100 mph when properly anchored.
As always, proper installation is key, and we recommend confirming local code requirements to ensure the best fit for your environment.
Yes! Range structures are designed with these environments in mind. From the start, we carefully select materials, protective coatings, and manufacturing processes that are specifically suited for high humidity and coastal conditions where corrosion resistance matters most.
As part of our internal standards, we require extensive salt-spray testing to evaluate how finishes and components hold up when exposed to harsh, moisture-rich air over time. This level of testing helps ensure long-term durability and gives us confidence that our structures will maintain their strength and appearance even in demanding coastal climates.
As with any outdoor product, regular care can further extend the life of your structure, but our goal is simple: to engineer pergolas and gazebos that are built to perform beautifully wherever you call home.
Assembly time can vary depending on the size of the structure, the number of people involved, and overall experience level, but every Range product is engineered to make the process as straightforward as possible. As the team behind the design and instructions, we approach assembly from the end user’s perspective—prioritizing clarity, consistency, and efficiency at every step.
Our instructions are consumer-friendly and step-by-step, with consistent hardware used throughout the build to reduce confusion. We also pre-assemble washers and bolts where possible to eliminate unnecessary steps and streamline the process. For additional support, many of our products include access to the BILT app, which provides interactive 3D, voice-narrated guidance to walk you through assembly in real time.
While each project is unique, our goal is always the same: to ensure assembly can be completed smoothly with minimal frustration. And if questions come up along the way, our in-house support team is readily available to help.
